Our actions and decisions made today will shape how we will be living in the future. Why not do something today that your future self will thank you for? Why not make 2022 the year you lead your dream to foster with a Not-for-Profit Charity?
For many people, the last two years are where the fear of the unknown shapes us. They are also the years when COVID-19 could define us. We appear to have emerged with a greater acceptance of the change, as the old life; we once treasured; didn’t make us happy. Sadly, the unhappiness was genuine for many children. Coronavirus shaped a path where children led the way with rainbows and kindness; subsequently, we followed and learned.
Children leading the way with rainbows and kindness…
The future in 2021 is exciting. One group of individuals led the way with kindness and rainbows and gave us a better understanding of their world. Our children.
Our children had, what they genuinely wanted; they wanted a family to spend time with them and be a part of our lives. Not just a quick hug as we rush past. They wanted to belong, and we did this as we closed our doors and became families.

The path children led taught us to look beyond and plan for a different future. The awareness of foster care for vulnerable children is often at the back of many people’s minds. Many people dream to foster but hesitate; it doesn’t mean they don’t care. It means that our lives rush with the constant cycle of trying to fit everything in. We become overwhelmed. As a result, we start to wonder when we would have the time to fit it in.
Is now the right time to dream to foster?
When Coronavirus arrived, we locked ourselves away. And realised that we had all the time in the world! The mad panic that became our life stopped and the question remains. Is now the right time to dream to foster? There are children, waiting in residential care homes. They need foster carers to look after them, is this their time? I hope so.

Charities leading the way with Outstanding foster carers…
Cutbacks and austerity have reduced the vital support services in our communities. Thankfully, charities have stepped in and provided much-needed support like never before. Their outstanding support is why Verve will only recruit foster carers for Not-for-Profit Fostering Charities. Every penny profit is spent on supporting children and young people; more importantly, they protect families, wherever possible, from becoming vulnerable.
Charities leading the way with Outstanding support when it matters most…
Not for Profit fostering, charities provide Outstanding support. However, they have excelled by going way beyond expectations during the pandemic. They support foster carers and their families affected by Coronavirus by helping with the little things. Things like homework and creating activities to reduce the disruption in children’s lives. They know that for many children in foster care, consistency and stability with minor changes are vital.
These children may have faced significant trouble in their lives previously. For these charities, children’s welfare is paramount; they must have peace and a feeling of belonging because the smallest disruption to a child who has lived through trauma is damaging.
Thankfully, their dedicated teams work together to make sure foster carers get all the support they need. And if this means learning long division to help with homework; or reading Peppa Pig on demand; it is what they do!

Verve leading the way in foster care recruitment…
Verve CIC will match you with a Not-for-Profit charity we feel recognises your skills and experience in care. You will also have regular training and support from a highly qualified and dedicated team. This team will be with you on your fostering journey, every step of the way to help you realise your dream to foster.
Verve aims to increase the number of inspirational foster carers with Charities. We also aim to reduce the number of children placed in Independent Fostering Agencies, and the high fees they charge. Ultimately, if local authorities didn’t have to spend so much on foster carers, we could have support networks to prevent families from becoming vulnerable.
Foster carers leading the way with the help of Suri and Peppa Pig!
We need to recruit people who dream to foster and who can dedicate to children’s time, experience, and love. No matter how long they may need you. It is essential to foster carers, and their families to feel a sense of belonging to the Charities they represent. It would help if you had support because children need foster homes where reading Peppa Pig is on-demand. Suri and Google provide the answers when we don’t understand the questions, never mind the answers.
However, we need foster carers who know it’s okay not to know all the answers; learning together is best. Thankfully, you have a team behind you to help with any answers you need!
Those who dream of becoming foster carers do so because they want children and young people to feel safe and loved. More importantly, they open their hearts and homes where children paint rainbows, push our buttons, and lead the way, as children do!
